About the Pitch Boot Camp:

The Philanthropic Pitch Boot Camp will take place on April 7 and 8, 2020. Each day will be a standalone event. Both Boot Camps will be quite comprehensive, with a slightly stronger focus on in-person pitches on the first day and written solicitations on the second day.

 

Although there will differences between each day, it is not necessary to attend both days unless you feel you need the extra support. Attending both days will require separate registrations for each day.

Info On Registration

Registering for the Pitch Boot Camp does automatically subscribe you to Virtual Philanthropy newsletters or other notifications unrelated to your attendance. We value your privacy and time.

Multiple people from one organization who wish to attend are still encouraged to register individually.

If someone wishes to pay on behalf of someone else, please have the payer indicate the participant's name on the invoice.

Terms & Conditions:

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations before March 10, 2020 will receive 50% of the registration fee. NO refunds will be made for cancellations after March 10, 2020. Please allow 30 days for processing registration refunds. Substitutions from the same organization are allowed. Please contact us  with the amended contact information.

 

Chatham House Rules

The Pitch Boot Camps will be a space where sensitive info is shared and honest discussions will be had. Absolutely nothing that is said among participants and staff should be shared, unless explicit permission is given.

Solicitation Policy

A potion of the Pitch Boot Camp will involve donors and foundation staff. Every participant will have the opportunity to pitch to these donors, but we ask that you do so thoughtfully and using the time to learn more than network.

The rest of the Pitch Boot Camp is based on solicitation, so feel free to talk up your organization, but understand the point of being there is to learn how to do so the most effectively.

Photography and Recording Policy

Please ask before taking anyone's photo. Photos of exercises are not permitted unless permission is explicitly given. 

Recording of any exercise is expressly forbidden unless. However, if a participant wants to record audio of the one-on-one pitch workshop, this is allowed.

 

Social Media Policy

We ask that all participants respect the privacy of their fellow participants and speakers. We advise you to seek permission before posting their images or recording on social media. Please do not quote with attribution without seeking permission.
