The social sector is a special space. It is mostly comprised of people who want to make life better for the most vulnerable populations and places. Virtual Philanthropy North (ViPN) works with this sector to strengthen its efforts with a balance of experience and innovation.
One way we accomplish this is through our Virtual Hive. The Virtual Hive is a network of hundreds of philanthropists, donor representatives, nonprofit leaders, and experts.
Imagine that a nonprofit receives the top-quality strategic development plan or capacity building assessment it needs, and afterwards, has the opportunity to have a donor representative in that field volunteer their time to give feedback on implementation feasibility or identify missed opportunities. With the Virtual Hive, this is a reality.
Conversely, donors who want to want to craft a learning framework for a new or existing grant strategy will get more than just online research. Virtual Hive members located within the regional or thematic scope of that strategy can add their ground-level expertise to the mapping in a way that adds an added layer of authenticity. And while philanthropic members of the Virtual Hive volunteer their time for free, nonprofit members receive a portion of any fees paid to ViPN, depending on their level of involvement.
There are no added fees to this service and ViPN intentionally keeps a fair pricing model to benefit small and startup organizations. The reason for our cost-effective prices is the same reason so many have joined our Virtual Hive: we live in a time where it is more important than ever to put mission first.
