Negar Tayyar has experienced forced displacement and worked in the refugee response and marginalized communities in Germany and post-conflict countries. Negar co-founded and is leading the Global Whole Being Fund (GWBF), a global philanthropic fund backing proximate organizations across more than 24 countries. Through GWBF, Negar has been shifting philanthropy to an inclusive approach recognizing the catalytic role of proximate actors. Applying a collective impact approach in her work, she is currently advising many non-profits, funders, and funds on global issues. Negar also runs Resonance Coaching, her coaching practice supporting executives and leaders across the globe to unlock their full potential.
Josie Naughton is the co-founder and CEO of Choose Love, a global organisation that supports refugees, displaced people and those affected by conflict, persecution and climate change. Under Josie’s strategic leadership a model for fast flexible and collaborative grantmaking has been developed that prioritises community based organisations and fills the gaps being left by Governments and traditional aid models. Josie has gone on to lead the growth of Choose Love as its CEO and the organisation has now supported over 4 million people via partnering with almost 400 organisations in 33 countries and raising over $100 million.
Josie is a leading advocate for refugee rights in the UK, and is seen as a thought leader across the sector, she’s been named as one of Bill and Melinda Gates’ ‘Global Goalkeepers’ and one of the Evening Standard's Progress 1000 “Changemakers”. She has spoken at events alongside Bill Gates and Barack Obama. Choose Love has won the NESTA award in 2016 and The Liberty freedom award in 2017 for its work supporting unaccompanied children.
